Water Inspired Boudoir
As seen on The White Wren
Light is an incredibly complex and beautiful thing. It can easily make or break a photograph and can be deceivingly tricky. My safe zone is typically morning or evening hours, where the sun is low on the horizon and provides soft filtered light through the trees. If I can help it, I avoid harsh midday sun where it is high in the sky and does not allow for much forgiveness in shadows.
This specific boudoir shoot defied those rules and opened up a whole different kind of unique beauty. It is funny how when we are pushed outside of our comfort zones, we usually rise to the occasion and grow so much more than if we stay in our safe zones. Playing with sunlight, shadows and water reflections was so fun and beneficial in expanding my creative boundaries! I am such a lover of all things bright and summertime. If it were up to me, it would be a nice 90 degrees year round with full sunshine. This sunlight filled shoot made my photographer heart so happy and full!
